What changes between them.
Don't take our word for it — see the full per-tool breakdown Every price above comes from a real competitor's pricing page, verified & linked. The tool-by-tool math is below — collapse it if you have seen enough.
Every figure is the vendor's MONTHLY-BILLED list price, re-read from each vendor’s own pricing page on 2 September 2026 — because ours ($25/mo) is monthly-billed too. Most vendors default their toggle to the cheaper annual rate; these are the month‑to‑month figures. One exception, stated on its row: Adobe prints Photoshop only as an annual plan billed monthly (US$22.99), so that row understates what a month‑to‑month buyer pays. The Photo Studio and Before/After rows were read on 10 September 2026, and on 14 September 2026 the rivals named in the right‑hand column were re‑read one by one. What moved: CloudConvert’s cheapest subscription is US$10/mo (1,000 credits; its “from” headline moves with the credit slider), Convertio’s month‑to‑month Lite is $11.99 rather than the $6.99 its page opens on, Zamzar’s Basic is $12, Creatopy has renamed itself The Brief (its page now shows only the annual rate, $29/mo billed yearly; the month‑to‑month figure here is the $39 our Creatopy comparison verified on 2 September), Filestage has no $49 tier at all — its cheapest paid plan is $249/mo billed monthly ($199 billed yearly), above a capped free plan — and Litmus no longer publishes a price for any tier. Monday.com, Calamari and Pastel were reported as having moved and had not: each was checked against the vendor’s own page and left alone. That is a change of basis: the table previously mixed the two, counting the annual rate on some rows and the monthly rate on others. Rows with no monthly plan now show no price and add $0 — TinyPNG sells Web Pro only as $39/yr, CloudConvert publishes nothing below 1,000 credits, and CampaignTrackly is annual‑billed only; bulk renaming (Batchio Pro, a $4.99 one‑time purchase) was already counted at $0 for the same reason. Optimize ZIP and Social Ad QA never had a named paid rival and no longer carry an estimate. SVG optimisation no longer has a row of its own (2026-09-14) — it is a tab inside TinyIMG and is counted on that row. It had no monthly vendor in any case: ShortPixel, which the row used to name, does not optimise SVG, and SVGOMG and Vecta.io Nano are free. Content QA and Ad Studio joined the table in the same pass, both at $0 — Ad Studio because the BannerBoo subscription already counted for Design → 23 HTML5 covers it, and Content QA because the nearest paid product is a general writing assistant rather than a creative-QA tool, so billing a whole writing subscription against one row would overstate the stack. Ad Studio replaced the Multiframe HTML5 row, which had gone on pricing a tool retired on 10 August 2026. Corrections found in the same pass: Adloom renders USD by default and is $49/mo, not the €49 ≈ $56 the row had converted; Email on Acid is now Mailgun Inspect, whose Basic tier ($99) has no link validation, so Premium ($199) is the tier that matches a 40‑check pre‑flight; WeTransfer Starter ($10) did the job that Ultimate ($23) had been counted for — but WeTransfer retired Starter, and on 14 September 2026 its cheapest paid plan is Ultimate at $23/mo again, so the row is back where it was; and LeaveBoard PRO ($1.35/employee) replaces BambooHR ($10) as the named rival, with BambooHR kept as an alternate. Several rivals also run a permanent free tier at low volume (Trello, Canva, Diffy, Pastel, Coolors, iLovePDF and others) — as do the tools here; these rows price the paid tier you need for unmetered professional use. Per‑seat rows (Preview Generator, Projects, Leave Manager, Invoice) are priced for one seat. The ~$731/mo total is the sum of the priced rows, rounded down from $731.34. Adpiler is counted ONCE across two rows. Its plan appears on the Preview Generator row (Medium, $99/mo — the cheapest tier that allows 50 campaigns a month, which is what PRO hosts here) plus its $19 File Versioning add‑on; the Backup JPGs row then prices only the $19 Image Generator add‑on, because one subscription does both jobs and counting the plan twice would inflate this table. On its own, the backup‑image job costs $58 there (Small $49 + $9). Two things Adpiler bills separately that this suite includes: version history and backup images ($19 each at the Medium tier; the add‑on ladder is $9 / $19 / $24 / $29 by plan). Be precise about the first: re‑uploading a new ad is included on every Adpiler tier — it is seeing the PREVIOUS versions that is the paid add‑on, “a full history of all previous versions of every file, including one‑to‑one comparisons”. What we deliberately do NOT count against Adpiler: its comment and annotation mode, approvals, unlimited team members, unlimited clients and unlimited revisions are all on the base plan, and it sells History Tracking, Private Comments and Analytics add‑ons we make no claim to match — there is no internal‑vs‑client comment split or audit log here. Charging a rival for features we do not ship would be the same error as understating one. Hover any price with a dotted underline to see how it is made up. Background removal no longer carries a row — remove.bg’s standalone service closes on 1 December 2026 and its background removal moves into Canva Pro, so a remove.bg row would now price a product that is being withdrawn.
