Free HTML5 Banner to GIF Converter

Drop in one or many banner ZIPs, pick a duration and loop, and download animated GIFs in seconds — with a built-in optimizer that typically cuts the file in half or more. Perfect for client previews, pitch decks, email and social, where a live HTML5 ad won't play.

Your banner is rendered and recorded in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Why use it

A real animated GIF, straight from the build.

One or many ZIPs

Drop a whole batch of banner .zips at once — each is inlined, played and turned into its own GIF, then downloaded individually or as one ZIP.

Pick a duration

Choose how many seconds to record, and the tool captures the animation across that window.

Loop or play once

Set exactly how it repeats — loop forever, or play once, twice or three times.

Optimized & private

A built-in optimizer shrinks the file — often by half or more — and everything runs in your browser, nothing uploaded.

How it works

Three steps, seconds, not screen-recording.

1

Add your banner ZIPs

Drag in one or many HTML5 banner .zips. We inline each into a self-contained page and detect its dimensions — nothing uploads.

2

Pick duration, loop & size

Choose how many seconds to record, how it loops (once, twice, 3× or forever), and how hard to compress.

3

Download the GIF

We render, encode and optimize it, then show the result with its size and the percent saved — download with one click.

Why ours

Made by people who build banners all day.

Records the live build

It plays your actual banner — CreateJS, GSAP or plain CSS — and captures what really animates, not a single static frame.

Ready to share

A GIF drops into email, Slack, a keynote or a LinkedIn post and just plays — no ad server, no clickTag, no fuss.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Is the HTML5-to-GIF converter free?
Yes — completely free, no signup, no watermark. It runs entirely in your browser, so there's nothing to install and you can convert as many banners as you like.
Does my banner ZIP get uploaded to a server?
No. The banner is unpacked, rendered and recorded locally in your browser — your files never leave your machine, which makes it safe for unreleased campaigns and confidential creative.
What do I drop in — a ZIP or the HTML file?
Drop in the banner's .zip exactly as you'd hand it to an ad server. The tool inlines the HTML, CSS, images, fonts and JavaScript into a single self-contained page, plays it, and records the animation frame by frame.
Can I convert several banners at once?
Yes — drop in as many banner .zips as you like and the tool converts them one after another, showing a GIF for each. The capture length, loop and compression settings apply to the whole batch. Download each GIF individually, or grab them all as a single ZIP.
How long a GIF can it make, and can I control the looping?
Pick a duration preset (3, 5 or 8 seconds) and the tool captures the animation across that window. You also choose how it loops — play once, twice, three times, or loop forever — so it behaves exactly how your preview, deck or social post needs. For long or complex builds, keep it short: GIFs get heavy fast.
Can it reduce the GIF file size?
Yes — there's a built-in optimizer with three levels. Sharper keeps every colour and is visually lossless; Balanced suits most banners; Smallest squeezes hardest. It runs automatically after rendering and typically cuts the file by half or more, and it only keeps the optimized version if it's actually smaller. The result shows you the final size and the percent saved.
Why is my GIF bigger than the HTML5 banner?
Even optimized, a GIF is usually larger than the HTML5 unit. HTML5 banners stay tiny because they're code; a GIF stores pixels for every frame, so size climbs with dimensions, duration and frame rate. Use a GIF for previews, decks, chat and social — and ship the real HTML5 build to ad servers.
Can you convert a whole campaign of banners for me?
Yes — this tool is self-serve for one-offs, but if you need a full set converted, optimized and packaged, our team builds and resizes 1,000+ units a month for agencies. See our banner resizing & production service.
