Free Pixel-Perfect Checker — design vs build

Drop the approved design and the coded build — a PSD storyboard or frames against an HTML5 ad .zip, or one full-length design against a coded EDM or landing page. Get a match score, pixel drift, difference heatmaps and alignment guides, then hand over an unbranded PDF QA report. Nothing leaves your browser.

100% in your browser — the PSD is parsed, the build is captured and the PDF is generated on your device.
Why use it

Catch the differences before the client does.

PSD parsed in-browser

Drop the layered storyboard PSD straight in — it's read on your machine, no export step. PNG, JPG and WebP frames work too.

Auto-matched moments

The build runs live and the timeline is scanned for the moment matching each frame — CreateJS, GSAP, Web Animations, CSS and video builds. Refine any capture manually.

Drift & alignment guides

Horizontal and vertical drift in px, plus alignment guides that mark exactly how far an element moved — "3 px right", drawn on the capture.

Full-page EDM & landing mode

One full-length design against the coded build, compared section by section at your viewport width — with per-section scores and heatmaps.

Unbranded PDF report

A summary page plus one page per frame or section — design and build side by side with heatmap and alignment guide. Client-ready, generated locally.

How it works

Three steps, all in your browser.

1

Add design + build

HTML5 ads: the storyboard PSD (or reference frames) and the packaged ad .zip. EDMs & landing pages: the full-length design and the coded build. Everything opens locally.

2

Auto-match & compare

The tool captures the build at the matching animation moments — or splits the full page into sections — and measures every pixel against your chosen tolerance.

3

Read the verdicts, export the PDF

Pass / review / fail per frame or section, with overlay, blink, zoom, heatmap and alignment-guide views to inspect — then export the unbranded PDF QA report.

Why ours

Built for ad & email production.

Made for banner workflows

Generic visual-testing platforms compare URL screenshots between releases. This compares the approved design to the packaged ad build — storyboard frames, animation moments, ad-size viewports.

Honest about rendering

The EDM check verifies the HTML's visual fidelity in a browser — and says plainly that Outlook and Gmail rendering are a different job. Pair it with QA EDM for client-specific checks.

Private by design

Unreleased campaign files never leave your device — parsing, capture, comparison and the PDF all run locally. Free to use with no signup.

More free browser tools

QA the whole campaign — all on-device.

Pixel-check the build here, validate it against ad-server specs with QA HTML5, test the email in simulated clients with QA EDM, and collect human feedback rounds with Creative Review.

Launch Creative QA
FAQ

Quick answers.

Are my design files or builds uploaded anywhere?
No. Creative QA runs 100% in your browser — the PSD is parsed on your machine, the build runs and is captured locally, the comparison maths run locally and even the PDF report is generated locally. Nothing ever reaches our server, so it's safe for unreleased campaigns.
What files does it compare?
HTML5 ads: a layered PSD storyboard (parsed right in the browser) or a set of PNG / JPG / WebP reference frames, against the packaged HTML5 ad .zip. EDMs & landing pages: one full-length flattened design (PSD, PNG, JPG or WebP) against the coded build — a .zip with its images, or a self-contained HTML file.
How does it know which animation moment matches each frame?
Auto-match scans the ad's timeline and picks the moment that best matches each reference frame, with a match-confidence score. If a suggestion is off, refine it manually: scrub the playhead to the exact frame and confirm the capture — confirmed captures always win.
What does the comparison actually measure?
Per frame or section: a match score out of 100, the percentage of pixels outside your chosen tolerance, horizontal and vertical drift in pixels, and pass / review / fail verdicts. You inspect differences with side-by-side, overlay, blink and zoom views, a difference heatmap, and alignment guides that mark exactly how far an element moved — e.g. "3 px right".
Which animated builds are supported?
CreateJS (Adobe Animate), GSAP, Web Animations API, CSS animations and video-based builds can all be scrubbed to the matched moment. A build with a fully custom animation runtime can't be seeked reliably — the tool tells you plainly instead of guessing.
Is the EDM preview the same as Outlook or Gmail?
No — and we say so in the tool. The EDM / landing check verifies visual fidelity of the HTML in a browser: spacing, colours, images, typography vs the approved design. Client-specific rendering (Outlook's quirks, Gmail clipping, dark mode) is a different job — run the build through QA EDM for those checks.
What's in the PDF report?
A summary page — overall score, verdict, pass / review / fail counts, the files and settings used, and a per-section table — then one page per frame or section with the design and the build capture side by side, plus the difference heatmap and the alignment guide on anything that isn't a clean pass. It's generated in your browser and carries no branding, so you can send it straight to a client or dev team.
Is it free?
Yes — free to use with no signup: both workspaces, every view, and the PDF report. Comparing an ad build against its spec limits instead? That's QA HTML5. Collecting human feedback rounds? That's Creative Review.
Do these tools use credits or tokens?
No — never. Every tool is free to use with sample or daily limits, and PRO is a flat $25/month ($199/year) for unlimited use of all 25+ tools: no credit packs, no top-ups, no per-use fees. Many comparable tools bill per credit (remove.bg, CloudConvert, AdCreative.ai) — here one flat subscription covers everything. See tools pricing.

Prove the build matches the design — free.

Free to use with no signup, and nothing is ever uploaded. Compare storyboards to HTML5 builds and designs to coded EDMs or landing pages, then export the unbranded PDF QA report.
