Around 17 pre-flight checks grouped into Deliverability, Rendering, Images, Links and Structure: Gmail's 102 KB clipping threshold, email width, the unsubscribe link, hidden preheader, spam-trigger words, un-inlined <style> CSS, Outlook/Word-engine-unsupported CSS, web fonts, responsiveness, dark-mode hints, image alt text, absolute-https image URLs, image dimensions, empty or "#" links, and the doctype/charset/viewport. Each finding comes with a plain-English "how to fix".
Is this the same as Litmus or Email on Acid?
No — and we won't pretend it is. Litmus and Email on Acid render your email inside dozens of real inbox clients and return true screenshots. Ours reads your HTML, catches the common, predictable problems, and adds simulated Gmail, Outlook (Word-engine), dark-mode and images-off previews — rule-based approximations built from each client's documented CSS support, each listing exactly what that client strips from your code. Useful, clearly labelled — and still not real screenshots. It's a fast first pass, not a replacement for full inbox-rendering testing.
What's the difference between the desktop and mobile preview?
The tool renders your email at a desktop width and a narrow mobile width, so you can eyeball reflow, font sizing and tap targets — and client tabs re-render it through simulated Gmail, Outlook, dark-mode and images-off rules, each with a list of what changed. The images-off view is exact (blocking is deterministic); the rest are labelled simulations, not screenshots.
