Q: What does Auto fix actually do?

Four things, each undoable: Auto light reads the backdrop and lands it at a clean white without clipping, neutralising any colour cast; backdrop smoothing removes the faint concentric rings that 8-bit banding leaves on a studio gradient; small-mark healing scans the backdrop and floor for dust and marks it is safe to remove; and shoe dirt lifting brightens scuffs on light footwear toward the material's own clean tone. Anything it could not finish safely — a mark too close to the model, too large or too faint to be sure — is flagged for you to look at.

Q: Can it handle a whole shoot, not just one photo?

Yes. Drop a folder, press Auto fix all , and the queue works through every frame with a progress card you can stop between photos. Each frame ends up fixed or needs review ; a filter and a Next to review button walk you through only the flagged ones. A QC report (CSV) lists what was done to every file, and Export all writes the finished set to a folder you pick.

Auto fix

Auto light reads the backdrop and lands it at clean white without clipping, neutralising the cast. Backdrop smoothing removes 8-bit banding rings. Small marks on backdrop and floor are healed; scuffs on light shoes are lifted. Every step is undoable.

Batch queue with a verdict

Drop a folder and press Auto fix all. Each frame ends up fixed or needs review — flagged when a mark sat too close to the model or was too faint to be sure. A filter and Next to review walk only those.

Cut-out & backdrop

An on-device model cuts the model out (downloaded once, shared with Remove BG). Then white, any colour, a studio grey falloff, or transparent PNG — with edge softness, and non-destructive: remove it and the shot comes back.

Brushes, looks & layers

Heal, Dirt, Whiten, Match, Clone and Restore brushes at 100 %; six looks and eleven light sliders with a live histogram; crop, rotate and flip; text, emoji and shape layers with starter layouts for badges and price tags.

Auto fix all, then look

The queue fixes every frame and flags what it could not finish safely. Walk the flagged ones at 100 % — tile by tile with Page Down — and finish by hand with the brushes. Cut the model out and pick a backdrop if the brief asks for it.

Export and hand over

JPG, WebP or PNG at any long edge, under a Max size in KB if a marketplace demands it. Export all to a folder with a QC report, or send the set straight to Before/After Preview for one approval link, to Preview Generator, or to Send Files.

The photo stays with you

Grading, healing, the cut-out model and the export all run on your device. Unreleased product shots never touch a server — the only uploads are the hand-offs you choose, to make a link.

Honest about what it skipped

The scanner never auto-heals a mark near the model or one it isn't sure of — it lists it and flags the frame. You see exactly what was left for a human, per frame, in the strip and in the QC report.

Full resolution, free

No half-size exports and no daily cap: every frame exports at the original size, or at the long edge and file size the job specifies. A ±½-level dither keeps the light adjustments from re-introducing banding.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Photo Studio runs entirely on your device — the light, the backdrop smoothing, every healing stroke and the export are computed in your browser at full resolution, and the file never leaves it. The only exceptions are the hand-offs you choose: sending pairs to Before/After Preview or a set to Send Files uploads those exports to create the link.

How does the cut-out work, and is it free?

The cut-out uses the same on-device AI model as our Remove BG tool. It downloads once (179 MB for the best edges, or a 43 MB faster model) and is cached in your browser, shared between the two tools. After the cut you choose the backdrop: white, any colour, a soft studio grey, or transparent — transparent exports as PNG. It is free, and the photo still never leaves your device.

Which formats and sizes can I export?

JPG at quality 95 or 100, WebP, or lossless PNG, at the original size or a chosen long edge (4096, 2048, 1600 or 1080 px). Set a Max size in KB and the export lands under it — quality first, then size — for marketplaces and CMSs with upload limits. Text, emoji and shape layers export with the photo; crop, rotate and flip are applied at export and never touch the original.

What does it need to run?

A desktop browser with WebGL 2 — current Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox — because the light is graded on the graphics card at full resolution. Edits are saved on your device per file, so you can close the tab and add the same files later to carry on.

Do these tools use credits or tokens?

No — never. Every tool is free to use with sample or daily limits, and PRO is a flat $25/month ($199/year) for unlimited use of all 34+ tools. Photo Studio itself has no gate: every export is full resolution, free.
