Free Static to HTML5 Banner Converter

Drop one static JPG or PNG banner and get animated HTML5 ad units across the standard IAB sizes — each exported as a trafficking-ready ZIP with index.html, image assets and the clickTag wired in. Runs 100% in your browser, free, no signup, nothing uploaded.

Your files never leave your browser — safe for unreleased campaigns.
What it does

Turn a flat banner into animated HTML5 ads

HTML5 export, free & unwatermarked

The HTML5 ZIP is exactly what Creatopy, Bannersnack and Bannerflow paywall — here it is free, with no signup, no account and no watermark on what you export.

One image in, the IAB set out

Drop a single static banner and the tool re-renders your layout across standard IAB sizes — 300x250, 728x90, 160x600, 300x600, 320x50 and more — in one pass, with smart fit per size.

clickTag wired in

Every export ships as a ZIP with index.html, image assets and the standard clickTag variable — the bundle ad servers expect.

Private — nothing leaves your machine

The whole thing runs locally in your browser, so files are never uploaded. That makes it safe to mock up unreleased campaigns and confidential client creative.

How it works

Convert a static banner to HTML5 in three steps

1

Drop your static banner

Upload one JPG or PNG. The tool auto-detects the logo, headline, subhead, CTA, product and background so it has editable layers to animate, not just a flat image.

2

Pick sizes and review the animation

Choose the IAB sizes you need and preview the animated HTML5 render. Adjust the layout once and it carries across the whole size set.

3

Export trafficking-ready ZIPs

Download each size as a ZIP containing index.html, image assets and the clickTag — ready to QA and upload to Google Ads, CM360, DV360 or your DSP. Preview every size for free; free downloads cover a subset of sizes, and a free login unlocks all sizes. Need a static backup image? Make one from the ZIP with the Backup JPG Generator.

Built to spec

Made for the ad servers you actually use

Each converted unit is packaged the way the Google and programmatic ecosystem expects — so it traffics cleanly after your own QA.

  • Google Ads, CM360, DV360 & DSPs — clickTag-enabled HTML5 ZIPs are accepted across the Google and programmatic ad servers (The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon Ads, Adform and more).
  • 150 KB / ~30s ad-server specs — the cross-platform safe baseline Google Ads uses, with animation typically ending on a held final frame. The export doesn't budget size or cap duration for you, so QA the ZIP against these specs before uploading.
  • clickTag variable exposed — each unit exposes the standard clickTag variable (with a placeholder URL your ad server overrides at runtime) so the landing page is injected at trafficking time.
  • index.html + image assets + clickTag — every ZIP ships the components ad servers expect, output from the same render plan as the static generator.
  • Standard IAB sizes — 300x250, 728x90, 160x600, 300x600, 320x50 and the wider display set, generated from your single source banner.
  • Static is still fine on Google Ads — HTML5 is optional, not required. This tool is for when you want the animated, adaptable version of a banner you already have.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Why convert a static banner to HTML5?
Animated HTML5 units typically pull more attention and clicks than a flat static banner, and one design can adapt across an entire size set instead of being baked into a single JPG. Exact lift varies by vertical and placement — industry CTR multipliers come from vendor benchmarks, and message clarity still matters more than motion — but directionally HTML5 is the format most display campaigns now run.
Is this static to HTML5 converter really free?
Yes — free to use with no signup, running entirely in your browser, and there is no watermark on what you export. You can preview every animated HTML5 unit in full. Free downloads cover a subset of sizes; a free login unlocks downloading all sizes. HTML5 export is the exact feature most other banner tools lock behind a paid plan.
Do my images get uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs locally in your browser and your files never leave your machine, so it is safe for unreleased campaigns and confidential creative.
What does the exported ZIP contain?
Each size exports as a ZIP with index.html, its image assets and the standard clickTag variable (with a placeholder URL your ad server overrides at runtime). Always QA the unit before going live. If your ad server also needs a static backup image, run the exported ZIP through our free Backup JPG Generator to render a CM360-ready backup at the exact size.
Which ad servers can I traffic these on?
The output targets the Google and programmatic ecosystem — Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360, DV360 and major DSPs — which all accept clickTag-enabled HTML5 ZIPs. Note that Meta feeds use image and video creatives, not HTML5 display ZIPs, so a converted banner is for the ad-server side, not Facebook or Instagram feeds. Static JPG/PNG/GIF ads are also still accepted on Google Ads; HTML5 is optional, not required.
What file-size and duration specs should I target?
150 KB initial load is the cross-platform safe baseline Google Ads enforces and CM360/DV360 use as their threshold, and most ad servers expect animation to run no longer than ~30 seconds and end on a held final frame. The tool does not budget file size or cap duration for you, so keep your source artwork lean and QA the exported ZIP against your ad server's specs before uploading.
Are the banners production-ready?
These are fast automated drafts — excellent for quick mock-ups and simple units, but not a replacement for hand-built, pixel-perfect production ads across full size sets. For campaign-grade quality, the DigiLakshya team builds it for you.
