Do my guests need an account?
Yes — everyone in a meeting signs in, which is what lets the host see exactly who is there. You can still invite anyone: the invitation tells someone new that they need a free account first, and the join link takes them through sign-up and straight back to your meeting. Signed in with the address you invited, they go straight in.
How long can a meeting run?
Up to 40 minutes when the host is on a free account, and up to 3 hours when the host is on PRO. The clock starts when the second person joins, leaving and rejoining does not reset it, and everyone sees a countdown with a warning at 10 and at 2 minutes. At the limit the meeting ends for everyone.
How many people can join?
Up to 12, you included: invite up to 11 people to a meeting. It is built for client calls, reviews and team stand-ups, not webinars.
What do invited people receive?
An e-mail from us with the join link, the meeting ID and passcode, Yes / No buttons, an add-to-Google-Calendar link and a calendar file that Outlook and Apple Calendar open, with a reminder 15 minutes before. If you move or cancel the meeting they get an update that moves or removes it in their calendar, and you get an e-mail when someone answers.
Who can get in?
The people you invited, signed in with the invited address, go straight in. Anyone else — someone with the passcode, or with an invitation forwarded to them — waits in a lobby until you let them in or turn them away. You can also lock the meeting so no one new can join.
Is anything recorded?
No. Audio, video and screen shares travel through Cloudflare’s real-time media servers to the other people in the meeting, and nothing is recorded or stored. Messages in the meeting’s chat are deleted when the meeting ends. The meeting details — title, time, agenda, who you invited and their answers, and who joined — are kept with your account; after the meeting you get an e-mail of who came and for how long. How does it compare with Zoom?
Zoom is the bigger meeting product — recording, breakout rooms and up to 100 people. Its free Basic plan also stops meetings at 40 minutes, and Zoom Workplace Pro is $16.99 per user a month on monthly billing (zoom.us/pricing, read 25 September 2026). Ours holds 12 people and records nothing; PRO runs meetings up to 3 hours and costs $25 a month for all 36 studio tools, with meetings included.
Can I invite my teammates without typing their e-mail?
Yes. Start typing a contact’s or teammate’s name and pick them. Their address is looked up on our side and never shown to you — the invitation reaches them all the same.
