Free Image-to-HTML Email Builder

Turn one email artwork into a send-ready EDM. Slice it into image-safe rows, draw clickable link areas over your CTAs, and export table-based email HTML that renders in Outlook and Gmail — plus every image, in one ZIP. Your artwork never leaves your browser.

100% in your browser — your artwork is never uploaded. The full editor is free: upload, crop, slice and link on a live 600px canvas. Viewing the generated code and downloading the HTML + images ZIP are PRO features.
Why use it

From flat artwork to clickable email.

Smart slice lines

Click near a natural section break and the slice line snaps to full-width colour changes — hold Alt for exact placement. Slicing keeps each image file lightweight.

Clickable link areas

Link a whole slice, or drag a rectangle over a button or product. Each link gets its own URL and label, and a custom area wins where it overlaps a slice link.

Outlook-safe HTML

Real table cells and linked images — no image maps, positioned overlays or scripts. A 600px-max fluid layout with Outlook (MSO) fixes and a hidden preheader.

HTML + images ZIP

Export index.html, every sliced image and a go-live README in one ZIP. Point the HTML at your CDN with a base URL, or keep ZIP-relative paths.

How it works

Three steps, all in your browser.

1

Load your artwork

Drop in one finished email design — PNG, JPG or WEBP — or load the included sample. Crop it in place if the frame needs a trim. Nothing is uploaded.

2

Slice and link

Add slice lines at natural breaks (they snap to colour changes), then link whole slices or draw link areas over CTAs — each with its own URL and label. Set the preheader and alt text.

3

Export the email

Generate table-based, 600px-responsive email HTML and download it with every sliced image and a README as one ZIP. The editor is free; viewing the code and the ZIP export are PRO.

Why ours

Private, precise, inbox-proof.

Nothing uploaded

Cropping, slicing, link drawing, HTML generation and even the ZIP build all happen on your device. Unreleased campaigns and client artwork never touch a server.

Built for fussy inboxes

Every linked region is a real <a>-wrapped image in its own table cell, with explicit dimensions and alt text — the pattern that survives Outlook and Gmail, not image maps or overlays.

Send-ready in minutes

No hand-coding tables. The export's README lists exactly what to host and where, so you go from approved artwork to a test send in one sitting.

More free browser tools

Build the email here — then pre-flight it before you hit send.

Pair the builder with our other free, in-browser tools: run the finished email through QA EDM (~17 pre-send checks), slice images for carousels with the Image Slicer, or shrink heavy artwork first with Compress Images.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Is my email artwork uploaded to a server?
No. The EDM Builder runs 100% in your browser — cropping, slicing, drawing link areas, generating the HTML and even building the export ZIP all happen on your device. Your artwork never touches a server, so it's safe for unreleased campaigns and confidential client work.
Will the exported email actually render in Outlook and Gmail?
That's the whole point of how it's built. The export is a table-based email — every slice becomes a real <img> in its own table cell with explicit pixel width and height, display:block styling and your alt text — inside a 600px-max container that stays fluid on mobile. It includes Outlook-only (MSO) ghost tables and a hidden preheader, and it deliberately avoids the things that break in inboxes: no image maps, no absolute positioning, no scripts, no CSS background buttons. As with any email, still send yourself a test — the included README reminds you to test in Outlook and Gmail before launch.
How do the clickable link areas work?
Two ways. Link a whole slice when a complete row of the artwork has one destination, or pick the Link area tool and drag a rectangle over a button or product — each link gets its own URL and label. Where a custom area overlaps a slice link, the custom area wins. Under the hood the builder splits the artwork so every linked region becomes its own image wrapped in a real <a> tag — not an image map — which is why the links hold up in Outlook and Gmail.
What exactly do I get in the export?
One ZIP containing index.html (the finished email), an images/ folder with every sliced piece as a JPEG (named like edm_r01_c01.jpg), and a README.txt with the go-live steps. Enter a hosted image base URL and the HTML points straight at your CDN; leave it blank and the paths stay ZIP-relative for your email platform to swap. From the code view you can also copy the HTML, preview the email, or download the HTML on its own.
What's free and what needs PRO?
The full editor is free with no signup: upload your artwork (or load the sample), crop it, add slice lines, draw link areas, set the preheader and alt text, and work on the live 600px canvas as long as you like. Viewing the generated email code and downloading the HTML + images ZIP are PRO features — those buttons take free users to the PRO sign-in. See tools pricing.
My email is already coded — can I check it before sending?
Yes — pre-flight the finished email with our free EDM QA, which runs ~17 pre-send checks (Gmail clipping, Outlook quirks, links, alt text and more) on any HTML email, including the ones this builder exports. And if you're slicing an image for carousels or grids rather than email, use the Image Slicer instead.
Do these tools use credits or tokens?
No — never. Every tool is free to use with sample or daily limits, and PRO is a flat $25/month ($199/year) for unlimited use of all 24+ tools: no credit packs, no top-ups, no per-use fees. Many comparable tools bill per credit (remove.bg, CloudConvert, AdCreative.ai) — here one flat subscription covers everything. See tools pricing.
