Live type layers become selectable HTML text with headings and buttons; every picture is exported as its own image file; and the page scales to every screen width with the text re-fit live; an optional beta can also reflow your top-level groups into stacked mobile sections. No. The file is read in your browser and the page is built there — nothing is sent to a server at any point, which is why it is safe for unreleased campaigns and client work under NDA. That is also the difference from a PSD-to-HTML service: those require you to hand the design to a third party.

Real Photoshop type layers come across as real HTML text — selectable, searchable and editable in the exported file. Type that was rasterised in Photoshop (flattened into pixels) can only come across as a picture, because the letters no longer exist as text in the file. Keep your type layers live if you want them live on the page.

By default the page ships your exact design, scaled to every screen width with the text re-measured live so it stays crisp — the same behaviour on a phone as on a monitor, and always faithful to the artwork. An optional beta reflow instead rebuilds your top-level PSD groups as stacked mobile sections below 1024px; when you switch it on, both renderings ship in the same file and you can check each one in the tool before you download.

It converts what the design already says; it does not invent what the design left out. Effects Photoshop bakes into pixels (some glows, warped text) come across as images, animated files export a static frame, and it writes no CMS, forms or back end.
