Free Creative QA — visual feedback on ads

Drop creatives — or run an HTML5 ad .zip live and capture the exact frames — then mark up the changes with arrows, boxes, blur and numbered notes, and measure spacing with the auto edge-detector. Hand the feedback back as an annotated image, PDF or Word report. Nothing leaves your browser.

100% in your browser — your creatives, annotations and notes are never uploaded.
Why use it

Feedback designers can act on.

A full markup kit

Arrow, box, circle, text, highlight, blur/redact, freehand pen and an eraser — with colour and stroke-size control and ⌘Z undo.

Rulers & auto-measure

Pixel rulers frame the canvas, and the Measure tool auto-detects the space between elements as you hover — click to stamp the exact px gap.

Numbered pins & notes

Drop numbered pins on exact spots, give each its own note, and add an overall note per screen — the reports list them all in order.

HTML5 ads run live

Drop a packaged ad .zip — it plays inside the tool. Replay the animation and capture the exact frames you want to annotate.

PDF & Word reports

Export one annotated screen as a PNG, everything as a ZIP, or a consolidated PDF / Word report — each screen with its numbered notes.

How it works

Three steps, all in your browser.

1

Import the creatives

Drag in images (several at once), or an HTML5 ad .zip that runs live so you can capture the frames that matter. Add more screens any time with the “+” tile.

2

Mark up the changes

Point with arrows, box the problem areas, blur what shouldn't ship, stamp px gaps with the auto-measure tool, and drop numbered pins with a note on each — plus an overall note per screen.

3

Export the feedback

Download the annotated screen as a PNG, every screen as a ZIP, or a consolidated PDF or Word report your designers can work through top to bottom.

Why ours

Made for ad & email work.

Backup JPG under 40 KB

One click compresses the clean creative under the 40 KB ad-server backup limit. If a busy image truly can't fit, it says so — and puts the real size in the filename.

Built for ad zips

Most feedback tools only take screenshots. Here the packaged HTML5 ad itself runs live side-by-side with the frame you're annotating — clearly labelled.

Private by design

Everything runs locally — creatives, marks and notes never leave your device. Annotating is free and unlimited; exports have a free daily allowance of 5.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Are my creatives uploaded anywhere?
No. Creative QA runs 100% in your browser — the images and HTML5 zips you review, every annotation and every note stay on your device. It's safe for unreleased campaigns and confidential client work.
What can I give feedback on?
Static creatives (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG — import several at once or drag & drop) and packaged HTML5 ad .zips. An HTML5 ad runs live inside the tool, so you can replay the animation and capture the exact frames you want to mark up.
What annotation tools do I get?
Arrow, rectangle, circle, text labels, highlight, blur/redact (pixelates the area), freehand pen, an eraser — and numbered pins, each with its own note line. Every screen also takes an overall note (up to 500 characters), and you can undo with ⌘Z.
How does the Measure tool work?
Pick Measure (or press M) and hover: it reads the actual pixels around your cursor and auto-detects the nearest edges left/right and above/below — live lines show the horizontal and vertical span with the gap in px. Click to stamp the detected spans onto the creative; stamped measurements export in every report, and you can click one to select it and press Delete (or use the eraser) to remove it. Pixel rulers around the canvas track your zoom, scrolling and cursor — toggle them from the zoom bar.
How do I hand the feedback back?
Four ways: the annotated screen as a PNG, all screens as a ZIP (with a notes text file), a consolidated PDF report (one page per screen — the marked-up image with your numbered notes underneath) or a Word (.doc) report with the same layout. There's also a Backup JPG export that compresses the clean creative under the 40 KB ad-server backup limit.
What happens if a creative can't fit under 40 KB?
The Backup JPG export searches quality levels and gentle downscales first. If 40 KB genuinely isn't achievable for a busy image, it tells you and saves the smallest version anyway — with the real size in the filename (for example banner-backup_42kb.jpg) so nothing is hidden.
Is it free?
Yes — free to use with no signup. Importing, annotating, pins and notes are always free and unlimited. The feedback exports (PNG / ZIP / PDF / Word / Backup JPG) use a free daily limit of 5; a Premium account makes them unlimited. Reviewing HTML5 ads? Pair it with QA HTML5 and Ad Preview.
